Disability Inclusion - LGBTIQ+ Health Australia

Disability Inclusion

Our Voices, Our Lives, Our Way Project

Co-designed by and for LGBTIQ+ people with disability, the ‘Our Voices, Our Lives, Our Way’ project is an online learning experience being developed as a joint initiative by LGBTIQ+ Health Australia and the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA). The project is funded by the Department of Social Services, through the Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) Grant.

Storytelling is at the heart of bringing our communities together and advocating for our rights. Through the ‘Our Voices, Our Lives, Our Way’ project, you will be able to access free online content and workshops around storytelling, advocacy, and community, so that you can expand what you know and connect with others.

Through our accessible online learning experience, you’ll find resources such as:

  • Short video animations
  • Fact sheets
  • Infographics
  • Toolkits
  • Guides
  • Lived experience stories from other LGBTIQ+ people with disability

We’ll also be offering free online workshops where you can learn tips and tricks for telling your story in a purposeful and safer way and hear from some of the LGBTIQ+ people with disability who are already sharing their stories in our community.
