Webinar: Advocating for Change, Advancing Best Practice: Reflections on AusPath 2023

The recent Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH) conference explored ‘Advocating for Change, Advancing Best Practice’. In this webinar, for those who missed the conference and those who want more, organisers and leading participants explore key messages, thought-provoking content and new learnings. It will ask, 'where to from here?'

The webinar includes presentations from:

  • Ashleigh Lin (she/her), the President of AusPATH and a Professor at the School of Population and Global Health at the University of Western Australia.
  • Son Vivienne (they/them), CEO at Transgender Victoria, a lead advocacy, education and peer support community led organisation and not-for-profit. Son has a background in academia and over 30 years’ experience in media-production and research across digital self-representation, online activism, queer identities, and rhetorical strategies/feminist practices for speaking and listening across difference.
  • Thomas Drake-Brockman (they/them), recently elected Chairperson of TransFolk of WA, and a freshly minted Director of AusPATH. When they're not doing one of those things, they're also a medical doctor at Albany Regional Hospital in far down south WA, a researcher at Perth Children's Hospital, the University of Western Australia, and the Telethon Kids Institute, an avid tall ship sailor, and a student pilot.
